Plot Cleaning

The Municipality of Amathounta reminds all owners of plots, fields, and land parcels within its municipal boundaries that they are responsible for keeping their properties clean and free from grass, wild vegetation, waste, pruning materials, construction debris, and other unwanted materials.

This obligation aims to ensure public health, cleanliness, fire safety, and the protection of the local environment.

The responsibility for cleaning and maintaining each property lies exclusively with the owner, even in cases where waste or other materials have been placed on the property by third parties.

Where a plot or land parcel is found not to have been adequately cleaned or is considered a risk to public health or fire safety, the Municipality of Amathounta may proceed with the cleaning of the property and charge the owner for all related costs.

The cleaning fee charged by the Municipality for 2026 is €150 per plot (520 m²). Additional charges may apply for the removal of pruning materials, construction debris, bulky items, or other waste, depending on the extent of the works required and the quantities removed.

For larger land parcels, the charge is calculated proportionally based on the number of 520 m² units requiring cleaning.

For further information or clarifications, interested parties may contact the relevant departments of the Municipality of Amathounta.

The Municipality of Amathounta thanks residents for their cooperation and contribution towards maintaining a clean, safe, and fire-protected environment.
